Due to their relatively simple design, high lifetime (commonly quoted lifetime is more than 100 thousand hours) and high efficiency, they are widely used in industrial applications. Among fibre lasers, systems with different operation can be found &#8211; continuous, pulsed and quasi-continuous, they can have different beam quality and exist in power ranges from 10 W to tens of kW. As a result, they can be successfully deployed in a wide range of applications from laser marking to cutting, welding and hardening. The MOPA laser can independently define the frequency of the laser pulses (1 &#8211; 4000 kHz) along with their duration (3 &#8211; 2000 ns), thus achieving excellent results in marking or micromachining applications.
