Diode pumped solid state crystal laser Nd:YVO4

A diode pumped solid state crystal laser is a solid state laser where the active crystal is pumped by laser diodes. The radiation wavelength is in the infra-red area, its exact characteristics depend upon the crystal type used (Nd: YAG, Nd: YVO4 and others). These lasers are very efficient with a high quality beam.

Principle of a diode pumped solid state crystal lasers:

Energy from pumping diodes is pumped into a crystal of rare earth that creates the active laser medium. There is an optic transport fiber between diodes and crystal or the  crystal is pumped by laser diodes directly. Crystal´s geometry is specialy made to be able of gradual energy accumulation, which is processed by deflecting mirrors and by optic of scanning head´s objective afterwards. Then there is a posibility to mark, engrave, drill or to influence various materials reacting to given laser wavelength in other way by laser beam.
