How laser marking of anodizing works
Using crystal and fiber lasers, we remove the top colored layer of anodizing to reveal a light-colored substrate, usually nearly white.
Depending on the customer’s requirements, the layer can be removed partially or completely down to the aluminium itself. This method is fast and suitable even for complex shapes and delicate drawings.
Heat marking for high optical contrast
In addition to engraving, we also offer thermal treatment of the anodised surface, for example with the LLS-F20P EP laser. By specific frequency and power settings, the surface can be written directly in shades of grey up to black. While this process is slower than conventional engraving, it allows unique design effects to be achieved without disturbing the top layer of the product.
