Surface roughening for better grip

Material activation meansroughening or wrinkling of the surfacewhich increases its adhesion. This allows a strong bond to be achieved with additional components such as adhesives, foams or sealants.

Laser material activation is applied to plastics, metals and rubber. For this application we use at LINTECHpulsed fibre lasers with power up to 300 W and deflection headwhich allow specific surface roughening structures to be created on the surface to obtain optimum surface properties of the material.

Compared to conventional methods, the laser activation process:
