When to use laser welding
Laser cladding is a very advantageous solution for reducing production costs in the case of repair and maintenance of tools such as:
- shearing tools,
- stamping tools,
- forming tools,
- casting and press moulds.
In automatic and semi-automatic production processes, tools are subjected to maximum loads. Wear or breakage is almost inevitable. This is where laser welding becomes the ideal solution.
The principle of laser welding
The repair of the damaged area of the tool is solved by means of a laser beam and additional material, which is fed under a microscopic device directly to the desired repair area. The control of the repair process and the guiding of the laser beam to the repair site is synchronised:
the pulse of the laser beam,
feeding of additional material,
feed rate.
A highly concentrated, thin laser beam delivers the required energy without side radiation to the exact point to be repaired. Therefore, very fine details, edges and shapes that cannot be repaired by other technologies can be welded. For laser welding we use additional coating
Advantages of laser welding
- the possibility of repairing places that cannot be welded by other technologies,
- high precision due to working under a microscope,
- minimal thermal effect on the surrounding material,
- fast and efficient tool refurbishment,
- use of certified additive materials from leading manufacturers.
In addition to laser welding and surfacing, we also offer custom: laser cutting, laser marking and engraving, production of identification labels, faceplates, production of punches and stamps and CNC milling and HSM machining.
