Laser marking system for integration – LLS-i OEM

The LLS-i OEM laser marking system for integration is an OEM solution designed for direct integration into production lines and single-purpose machines.  It enables marking of simple and permanent patterns, but also basic application tasks beyond marking.

The device is also fully functional as a stand-alone system – just connect a computer.

Key features of the LLS-i OEM laser equipment

  • Designed primarily for marking simple and permanent patterns, but also for simple applications outside marking – see. “applications“ .
  • Fully functional as a stand-alone device.
  • Set up more complex applications using external software – no need to run it with every piece.
  • Power 20-100 W.
  • Support for PROFINET, TCP/IP and HW signals.

Suitable use

  • In-line marking applications (serial number, date, text, changing text; including position correction or automatic increments).
  • Marking or engraving of a finite number of predefined patterns (memory for 1024 jobs – templates, any vector graphics).

Advantages of laser marking

Laser marking of products is a technology that is nowadays widely used in the world and brings a number of advantages. With the help of a laser beam, high quality and permanent marking of objects can be obtained in a non-contact manner. Marking an object takes advantage of the ability of a focused laser beam to heat a small area around a point in such a way that either part of the surface of the object is vaporised or the optical property of the object is changed on that part of the surface. The basic building blocks of the LLS – FXX P laser marking system are the laser source itself, the power and control sources for the laser itself, the optical head with mirror deflection servo system and the lens.

A computer with SAMLight installed and a USB interface version 1.1 or higher is required for operation.

LLS-i OEM technology

The laser source module contains the control electronics and optics in a MOPA arrangement that forms the laser source for marking. It is a modern pulsed fibre laser source designed for high efficiency and reliability. The laser source module also contains a red laser source with a wavelength of 650nm and a power of less than 1mW and is classified as Class 2 laser safety. The red laser beam (laser pointer) is used to target a marked area on the marked object. The resulting radiation is coupled to an output light-conducting fibre terminated by a beam collimator, extension optics and an output isolator.
