UV lasers have the lowest wavelength of laser radiation. They use a basic source of solid-state lasers (Nd:YVO4, Nd:YAG, etc.). The infrared light output passes through several optically nonlinear crystals that further modify the parameters of the original infrared light.
Infrared and visible radiation accompanies the thermal influence of the material, which causes melting, evaporation and overall degradation. UV radiation has very little thermal effect, so it is often referred to as cold ablation – i.e. evaporation of the material without significant thermal effect on the material.
The great advantage of the UV laser is the excellent beam quality and the extremely small spot size, which is directly proportional to the wavelength size.
UV lasers are used in a narrow range of specific applications, which is also due to the relatively high acquisition and maintenance costs. This is because the nonlinear optics are subject to considerable thermal stress, degrade gradually and due to their lower lifetime need to be replaced after a certain period of time.
We can demonstrate most of the technologies we offer live or make samples.
The supplier LINTECH is a long-established supplier for Varroc Lighting Sytems, which is used on projects both in Varroc’s parent plant in Nový Jičín and in the subsidiary plant in Rychvald.
We have purchased a machine for laser marking of castings from LINTECH. We highly appreciate the quality and speed of technical support from LINTECH in dealing with new requirements from our customers.
Since 2017 we have purchased 3 laser marking stations from LINTECH. The machines have been designed to suit our type of production (piece production of steel components for mechanical seals), i.e. with an emphasis on variability and easy reconfiguration. The machines work as they should. The change in marking technology has also brought time savings in the process and comfort of work (after breaking through the initial resistance, the change was positively received by the operators).
The company LINTECH adapted to our requirements to the maximum, designed and constructed for us the equipment according to the specified parameters for laser welding of plastics, metals and the description of the mentioned materials.
