The most common use of laser cleaning is inremoving rust from metal surfaces, as well as in the cleaning of moulds, tools or containers.
In laser cleaning, medium power pulsed lasers are used together with a deflection head that can sweep the laser beam across the cleaned surface in a very high speeds (thousands of mm/s). In the curtainsdepending on the size cleaned area a focusing optic with sufficient large working field but still with a sufficiently small and concentrated footprint.
In addition to the size of the cleaned area, the rhe speed of the cleaning process depends on the thickness of the layer being removedfor larger thicknesses, the cleaning process must be repeated cyclically.
Laser stations with robotic integration
Custom-made laser stations from LINTECH enable efficient integration of a laser cleaning system for processing small and medium-sized surfaces. For cleaning larger surfaces, it is advantageous to use robotic arm for positioning the laser unit relative to the surface with adequate shielding from the surroundings.
