Laser welding is a modern technology that creates strong and indestructible connections of components. The technology is suitable for a wide range of materials. From ferrous and non-ferrous metals to some plastics. Ceramics, glass and other materials where high temperature gradients result in cracks are not suitable.
Advantages of laser welding
Compared to conventional methods (MIG/MAG, TIG), laser welding offers:
- higher process speed,
- lower thermal impact on the surrounding material,
- more economical operation,
- possibility of welding even in hard-to-reach places,
- easy automation and precise process control.
The disadvantage is the higher purchase price and the necessity to observe the exact dimensional tolerances of the semi-finished products. In series production, however, the investment is quickly recouped through significant process speed and energy savings.
Customized laser welding stations
LINTECH designs and manufactures laser welding equipment according to customer needs. We provide a complete service from consultation and testing in the application laboratory, through the design and manufacture of single-purpose machines to warranty and post-warranty service.
Robotic laser welding
Laser technology can be easily combined with robotic systems to increase productivity and ensure stable weld quality even in long-term operation.
