Our long-standing customer and partner – KIEKERT-CS, s.r.o. asked us for a solution for laser welding of automotive parts in the form of plastic actuator housings. This particular part can be found in almost every modern electric car and is used as a safety element ensuring the possibility of crank manipulation in case of primary system failure.

In view of the customer’s requirements, we designed the station as a fully automated segment of the production line. In this particular case, the station is connected to a closed conveyor system on both sides.
For quasi-continuous transmissive laser welding, a 300W CW fiber laser with deflection head and appropriate focusing optics was used. The sub-specification of the laser components was suitably optimized during the machine construction to achieve the best possible welding results. To learn more about laser welding of plastics, check out our webinar Laser Welding of Plastics.
When the part arrives at the laser station, it is first checked for completeness and the correct position of the foundation. The part then proceeds to the position where it is clamped and pressure welded. The progress of the welding process is monitored in detail and the results, in particular the process speed and weld depth, are compared with reference values. These results are further stored and archived in a database. If the required values are not reached, the part is automatically removed from the production flow by the manipulator and moved to the NOC box.
We very much appreciate the long-standing cooperation with this important customer. We are glad that the satisfaction is mutual, as is also evident from Mr. Arnold’s statement:
“Kiekert, the world’s largest manufacturer of automotive locks, has been cooperating with LINTECH for more than 10 years. It is a top partner for us in the field of laser technology and we use its services for both marking lasers (CO2/fibre) and laser welding of plastics. Thanks to its many years of experience, LINTECH helps us not only with the selection of suitable laser equipment, but also with the development of our product design to make it as suitable as possible for the use of laser technology. We build the laser stations ourselves and use hardware from LINTECH. In recent years, we have also used the delivery of complete turnkey stations several times, where we have also been very satisfied with the cooperation.”
We can demonstrate most of the technologies we offer live or make samples.
The supplier LINTECH is a long-established supplier for Varroc Lighting Sytems, which is used on projects both in Varroc’s parent plant in Nový Jičín and in the subsidiary plant in Rychvald.
We have purchased a machine for laser marking of castings from LINTECH. We highly appreciate the quality and speed of technical support from LINTECH in dealing with new requirements from our customers.
Since 2017 we have purchased 3 laser marking stations from LINTECH. The machines have been designed to suit our type of production (piece production of steel components for mechanical seals), i.e. with an emphasis on variability and easy reconfiguration. The machines work as they should. The change in marking technology has also brought time savings in the process and comfort of work (after breaking through the initial resistance, the change was positively received by the operators).
The company LINTECH adapted to our requirements to the maximum, designed and constructed for us the equipment according to the specified parameters for laser welding of plastics, metals and the description of the mentioned materials.
